Location/Venue/Facilities
Motu Kairangi Netball is played on Saturdays and is based at Evans Bay Intermediate School, Tacy Street, Kilbirnie. Parking is available outside the main school entrance at Kemp Street or on the roadside of Tacy Street, Kilbirnie. However, please note that the area can get very congested and parks may not always be readily available. Please watch for the children and also the elderly and do not part over yellow lines - be mindful of local businesses operating close by.
The Container is for the use of court controllers and officials only. Only authorised personnel are permitted inside this at all times. No children are permitted in the Container except when authorised by a Committee Member. Notices and draws will be displayed on a notice board outside the Container door.
Drinking fountains are available in the school next to the toilets.
The toilets are loacted in the 'S' Block, near Court 8.
Whilst at the courts please adhere to the following rules:
- No animals are permitted on Evans Bay Intermediate School grounds
- No bicycles, scooters, prams or skateboards are permitted on the courts during competition play
- Please ensure that the courts are kept clear while play is under way
- No fundraising ventures are permitted at the courts during normal Saturday play except those authorised by the Motu Kairangi Executive Committee
- Motu Kairangi Netball is a smokefree/vapefree organisation and Evans Bay Intermediate School has a Smoke Free Policy that bans smoking anywhere in the school grounds and all court areas and surrounds.
Lost Property
Lost property will be kept in the Container and displayed on fine Saturdays. At the end of the season all remaining lost property will be donated to a local charity if unclaimed at prizegiving.
Valuables
Motu Kairangi Netball cannot take any responsibility for lost valuables or property. Teams are advised to have a supporter who can carry all valuables for a team during games. If something has been lost you can make contact with mknetball@gmail.com and they can check if the item was picked up and handed into the Container.
